* Participation in functional analysis and architectural design
* Detailed design, coding and testing of multi platform software products
* Participation in development of new innovations and products (R+D)
* Occasionally accompany and assist during implementations
* Some travel may be required
Profile:
- University degree in computer science, or equivalent level
- Must be able to communicate and write technical documentation in English
- Spanish knowledge is optional
Successful candidates should have:
- At least 3 years in a similar position
- Experience in multiplatform development (Linux, UNIX, Windows)
- In-depth knowledge of Java (J2SE, J2EE)
- Sound knowledge of SQL, ODBC/JDBC, XML, UML, Patterns
- Knowledge of Linux, UNIX and Windows
- Knowledge of RDBMS (preferable Oracle DB) at developers level
- Knowledge of Java Servlet Containers
- Experience working with open source tools, libraries and products
- Experience working with issue tracking tools
- Experience working with source control management
- Experience with Spring and Hibernate Framework
The following would be an advantage:
- Liferay CMS is an interesting plus
- Knowledge of cryptography: PKI, PKCS
- Knowledge of other Application and Web servers
- Knowledge of other Database Management Systems
- Experience working with Continuous Integration
- Has used agile methodologies formally or informally (XP, Scrum, Kanban, etc...)
- Knowledge of any of the following: JAAS, Spring security, RBAC, SAML, OSGi, bash scripting, profiling.
Skills
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team
- Ability to write technical documentation, reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Good analytical skills with a challenging and enquiring mind
- Good communication skills, organized and motivated, persistent, driven to complete tasks
