A GameHouse Original Story...
At GameHouse, we’re leaders in story-driven mobile games for women, and we’ve put together a new team to take our storytelling in a completely new direction. Internally, we refer to this as one of our “Moon Rocket” projects, taking the company to the next level.
Based in Madrid, we’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer who will play a critical role in building the next generation platform and tools to tell GameHouse’s amazing stories.

CV should be submitted in English.
You have 5+ years of backend programming experience in one or more of these languages: Java, PHP, C#, C++
You have experience with designing and orchestrating scalable systems
It’s not your first time monitoring live systems, you have experience with Kibana, Grafana, Datadog, ...
You are willing to understand and help other departments by creating the tools they need
You are an absolute team player! To intensively cooperate work with both your studio, and the backend engineers in other locations, you have to be a people person
You’re well capable of explaining technical challenges to non-technical people
It’s no hurdle for you to communicate in English.
GameHouse is an international company, so proficiency in English is a must
And lastly, experience in the gaming industry is a big plus!
You’ll work on a new free-to-play mobile game for a female audience. Storytelling and memorable characters make it something truly unique
You and the rest of the team (Game Design, Mobile Developers, Product, etc...) work side-by-side to tackle the technical challenges of creating a free-to-play game
You’ll collaborate with other backend engineers of other studios
You think of improvements on workflow and suggest development on new tools
You lead the development of new tools that help other departments to perform better
The full backend ownership, from implementation to deployment, lays with you
You make sure to monitor, and take care of all existing backend services
You will have the opportunity to:

Take an active part in the amazing process of creating a game
Make autonomous decisions that drive the project forwards
Work closely with other departments, such as Game Design, Mobile Developers and Product
Cooperate with fellow backend Engineers located in other studios
Visit other GameHouse studios to share learnings
