The QA tester is a critical function within the QA and Deployment team. Reporting directly to the Senior Deployment Project Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with the Producer, Product Manager, External QA, and the Engineering teams to ensure best in class test coverage for Scopely projects. You’re a master of communication and bug finding wizard - able to both help coordinate a legion of testers with delegated tasks as well as roll up your own sleeves to take on the solo mission of assisting our cross-functional teams as an autonomous, expert QA specialist.
Requisitos mínimos
What will you need?
Degree level education or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of QA experience in mobile gaming.
Advanced level knowledge using JIRA - especially with regards to dashboard management and database querying using JQL.
Understanding of Jenkins and executing continuous build generation.
Proven ability to own, build and iterate functions and processes.
Experience working in a development environment and managing relationships with both internal and external cross functional teams.
Experience building functional test plans.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally.
Proactively identify risks, changes needed and execute solutions, with appropriate sense of urgency.
Passion for mobile games and experience working on games as a live service.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Bonus skills: Experience using TestRail and/or Zephyr for JIRA, Charles, XCode, New Relic.
Responsabilidades
What will you do?
Respond to one-off testing queries, acting as a liaison and communicator for our external QA testing team for these specific requests.
Be the knowledge expert of product and tools.
Work closely with our engineering team for ad hoc requests testing requests, demonstrating advanced testing techniques for testing and regression of product.
Generate daily status reports for Internal QA team, communicating status of testing and escalating risks and blockers to key stakeholders on behalf of the Internal QA team.
Assist in maintenance of test case creation and regular test suite reviewsManage bug triages, surfacing critical and blocker issues logged by QA and maintain issue backlog.
Instill QA best testing practices across the team, increasing quality level of issue reporting through advanced reporting techniques including crash logs, server logs, video, and screen capture.
Leverage Dashboards to monitor issue status’ throughout the testing lifecycle.
