Lead programmer, September 2001 - March 2002, Aside Software:At this company I rewrote my previous engines. I wrote a huge landscapes renderer using geomipmaps. I wrote a new collision detection system using an aabb tree for the interiors and spheres for the dynamic objects. For culling I used portals and the mentioned tree. Special care was paid on the lighting system. I implemented a fully dynamic lighting system with bumpmapping on all surfaces and dynamic shadows using stencil shadow volumes. I also wrote 3dsmax plugins to export levels, actors, and meshes, to create custom materials/shaders, lights and more. Plugins were written in both C++ and maxscript. We used lua as scripting language to allow fully customized entities, scenes, shaders, config files, and more.
