Tequila Works is looking for a creative and talented Lea 3D Character Artist to join the team. The successful candidate will help educate and inspire other Character Artists. He or she will be involved in delivering Tequila Works’ artistic vision in our games and will join a passionate team of seasoned videogame professionals.
We are based in Madrid and have the option of working at the studio and/or remotely.

Minimum requirements
Art-related background/degree.
5+ years' experience creating stylized character art for video games.
Demonstrated experience within cross-discipline strike teams on collaborative assignments.
Precise knowledge of anatomy, proportions, stylization, and color.
Exceptional visual and technical understanding in sculpting, 3D modeling, retopology, texturing and rigging.
Proficient with 3DSMax, Maya or Blender.
Skilled with Zbrush and Substance Painter.
Good understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and specifically about character integration.
Have a flexible, innovative, and open-minded approach to problem solving.
Self-critical spirit and excellent communication and team-work skills.
Duties
Model and texture eye-catching 3D characters according to the game style.
Make a significant and direct contribution to the creation of 3D characters.
Manage and mentor character artists, ensuring they all have clear actionable tasks, goals and regular constructive feedback.
Work closely with Directors to define stylistic and technical foundations to help the team understand the project`s visual style and model and texture amazing characters.
Maintain team’s quality, efficiency, and consistency across character creation.
Define and document workflows and pipelines from the ground up in collaboration with concept art, design, tech art, rigging and animation.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to character pipelines and performance.
Evangelize, present, and communicate art status of owned projects to the larger Tequila Works organization and the Management Team.
