People Moving Pixels is a recruiting a Render TD!

Purpose:

A Technical Director (TD) in Rendering provides critical support and troubleshoots issues in the rendering of shots and assets in the pipeline.

Key responsibilities:

. Manage the transfer of the In/Out material between the render vendor and People Moving Pixels
. Troubleshoot basic errors in the grind + render process, and also escalate issues accordingly
. Promptly act on render requests based on pipeline status, and multiple forms of electronic communication
. Be a problem solver by setting up the light, render and comp pipeline
. Solve artistic and technical problems with the team
. Maintain rendering priorities
. Set up light rigs

Qualifications:

. Production experience in computer animation, visual effects, or game industry - preferably experience in the Rendering pipeline
. Experience with Maya
. Production experience with PBR renderers (favorable Redshift)
. Ability to establish priorities, work independently or within a group, and work with minimal supervision
. Exceptional communication skills in dealing with both technical and artistic groups
. Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency in data management
. Required European Union work authorization
. Flexibility to relocate to Santa Cruz de Tenerife
. English fluency

Plus:

. Experience with Houdini or other 3rd Party Animation Systems
. Python programming skills
. Experience with tool integration into existing or new pipelines
